Warehouse Operative (Nightshift)

This Airdrie based courier company is looking for a nightshift based warehouse operative whom will be loading/unloading/sorting freight supporting couriers to load/unload vans. As a Warehouse Operative you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business growth. This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively. The use of scanners/technology is a significant part of role. working hours are 12am-9am Tue-Sat

Key duties and responsibilities of the role:

A Warehouse Operative role provides a varied work night that includes:

• Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock

• Sorting and placing materials or items into cages, pallets, and shelves.

• Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule.

• Performing warehouse inventory controls via scanner and or through a computer.

• Stock counting and location checks.

• Assisting couriers to load and unload vans

• As part of your development you may be asked to assist driver/couriers with the delivery to Exchanges

• Assisting in general housekeeping within the warehouse i.e participation in the local cleaning regime’

Energetic and willing to learn new skills

This role will require a standard disclosure check.

Desirable Criteria:

Previous experience with use of scanners and technology skills desirable, training provided

Online training available for numerous relevant skills and personal development
