We are now looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Nightshift Care Assistant for our Care Home, located in Cumbernauld. We believe , you are more than a care worker. You are a valued member of our longstanding team that makes the world of difference to the lives of the individuals we care for.
8.45pm start and 7.45am finish
Key Responsibilities:
The care home is known for its warm, homely, non-institutional atmosphere and uncompromising standards of care. We have an open, friendly team, with a cheerful "can do" team spirit.
To look after the emotional, cultural and social needs of the Clients using a person-centered approach
To physically assist clients and help them where required
To offer care that is based on dignity, compassion, wellbeing and responsiveness to their changing needs
To create and maintain good professional relationships with Clients, their family and friends and other stakeholders
Essential Criteria:
Ability to demonstrate equivalent of level 2 in English
Willingness to work towards Care Certificate
A good standard of general education
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Ability to use variety of differing methods of communication according to needs of service user
Good written communication skills – form completion
Empathy towards service users
Good listening skills
Good numeracy skills
Basic I T skillsHigh energy and drive
Patient, caring and sensitive
Adaptable
Flexible
Reliable
Desirable Requirements:
Level 2 or higher in care
Care Certificate
Undertaking study in care related subjected
Level 2 qualification in literacy
Level 2 qualification in Numeracy
Experience in a care environment
Experience, either paid or voluntary supporting people with care needs
Wide variety of interests to share with service users
Knowledge of the local area
Advanced I T Skills
Creative and innovative
